Tempered glass or film — which to choose
The screen is the most expensive part of a phone to repair, and a protector costs about as much as a coffee in town. The question is not whether, but which. At Xenoni.me protectors are sorted by phone model, so first check the exact model in Settings — dimensions differ even between the standard, Plus and FE editions of the same series.
Types of protection
- Tempered glass — the most common choice: 9H hardness, touch feel like bare glass, it breaks instead of the screen. 0.3 mm is the standard thickness.
- Full glue / 3D / curved — for phones with rounded screens (Samsung S series, some Xiaomi). Adhesive over the whole surface means no rainbow patches and no empty edge.
- Privacy glass — darkened at an angle: readable only head-on. For commuting and the office.
- Matte / anti-glare — no reflections, no fingerprints, slightly softer feel; gamers like it.
- Hydrogel film — flexible, follows curved edges, "heals" small scratches, does not crack and is harder to damage than glass; we cut it to size for practically any model (€6.90, privacy €7.90).
- Camera protector — a small glass ring or plate for the lenses; take it with the screen glass, the camera is what keys in a pocket scratch first.
How to apply without bubbles
Clean the screen with the wet then dry wipe from the pack, lift dust with the sticker, align the glass with the camera cutout and lower it from one side. If a bubble gets in, push it towards the edge with a card. In every one of our stores we apply the glass on the spot.

Glass or film — which protects better?
Both protect well. Tempered glass is the most common choice — it breaks instead of the screen. Hydrogel film is no worse than glass: it does not crack, is harder to damage than glass and follows curved edges; we cut it to size for practically any model (€6.90, privacy €7.90).
Why did the glass lift at the edges?
Either the case pressed on the glass edges, or the glass was edge-glue only on a curved screen. Fix: full-glue glass bonded over the whole surface, and a case that does not overlap the glass edge.
Does glass interfere with the in-screen fingerprint reader?
Optical readers (most Xiaomi, Samsung A) work through any glass. Ultrasonic readers (Samsung S series) need glass marked compatible with ultrasonic sensors — we state that in the product description.
Do you apply the glass in store?
Yes, in every one of our 7 stores we apply the glass on the spot, bubble- and dust-free. Glass bought by post comes with wipes and a dust sticker.
